Scoot the grid.
Gridscoot is Australian price comparison built for the era of AI agents. Ask your agent for the cheapest in-stock retailer for a product and it asks us; we return a clean, structured answer.
Most price-comparison sites are funded by paid placement and homepage ad slots. Their rankings reflect who pays, not who's cheapest. Their price histories — when they have them — are short and noisy.
Agents change the surface. The human asks the agent, the agent asks us, we return a structured answer. There's no ad slot to defend. The product can be honest by construction.
- Designed to pull product + price data from each retailer's affiliate feed every 1–6 hours. First retailer integration is eBay AU (live ingest in progress); Commission Factory and Amazon Australia are in flight pending program approvals. We never scrape without permission.
- The same product across retailers is deduplicated by barcode (GTIN) so "cheapest" means cheapest for the same item, not the cheapest-looking listing.
- We keep 365 days of price history so you can tell a real discount from a permanent "sale" price.
- Primary surface is an MCP server any agent can install; a public REST API at
/api/v1covers non-MCP integrators. - Ranking is algorithmic: in-stock first, then total price including shipping, then freshness of the price observation.
Affiliate commissions, paid by the retailer when you buy through a link on this site. Your purchase price is unchanged whether you click through us or visit the retailer directly — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.
We never reorder results to favour higher-commission retailers. Ranking is algorithmic and the algorithm is described above; if you'd like to verify, every result returns the same data via the REST API and the MCP, so independent audits are trivial.
Early access. The catalogue today is a demo populated with synthetic Australian product data so an agent can exercise every tool — search, compare, price-history, stock, retailer directory, alerts. Real-retailer onboarding starts with eBay Australia (live ingest in progress), with Commission Factory partners and Amazon Associates Australia in flight pending program approvals. The full live list is available at /api/v1/retailers and updates as each retailer goes live.
- Honest ranking
- No paid placement, no hidden reordering. If the API returns it, the product surfaces it.
- Agent-first
- The MCP server is the product; the website is a side surface.
- Minimal data
- We collect as little as possible. The details are at /privacy.
- Australian-focused
- Prices in AUD, retailers shipping within Australia, content tuned for AU consumers.
Early access. The end-to-end (matching, 365-day history schema, MCP transport, REST surface, anonymous demo, auth) is wired and exercisable today — every tool runs, every endpoint answers. The catalogue itself is the part still growing: today it is an illustrative demo with synthetic AU products; live-retailer data comes online as each affiliate program approves us. The install instructions on the landing page work today; the same agent experience kicks in unchanged once the catalogue fills out.
